A note from Ashley
When I was in my early twenties, I had an encounter with Jesus that changed everything in my life. I had just finished grad school, landed my first job in the fashion industry, had everything together on the outside, but inside I was lost and broken. I cried out to the Lord one night, surrendered my life to him, and I’ve never been the same since.
Later that year, I landed a job at a leading fashion brand in San Francisco working in global merchandising. During that time, I was given a few hours every month to volunteer at a local nonprofit of my choice. I chose to spend those hours and every chance I got serving an inner city ministry helping the homeless. I quickly realized I had a call to ministry on my life and later left the corporate world to pursue ministry full-time.
Over the years, ministry has taken on many different forms and looked different in every season. For about 10 years, I worked in the nonprofit sector helping the homeless. I also created an online women’s ministry to encourage women in their faith journey and help them realize their God-given purpose. Most recently, my husband and I have been blessed with three children — raising them is my greatest ministry and joy of my life! I have learned that whether leading a prayer gathering or rocking babies to sleep, all of it is ministry.
Now that my children are getting a little older, I have been dreaming about what God has next for me. I have always wanted to write a devotional (coming soon!). But as I was praying one morning, I felt that my first book needed to be for my children — they are and will always be my first ministry!
I’m so excited to share that my first book, “The Gospel Story for Little Ones,” is launching soon! My prayer is that this book would create sweet ministry moments with you and the little ones in your life!
Made for more.
